One of the best and easiest ways to reduce space in your Smartermail account is to limit the amount of junk and unneeded mail from your account. This can be done by setting up 'Folder Auto-Clean' in your account so that unneeded and unwanted mail is automatically removed from your account, thereby freeing up space.
In order to setup the 'Folder Auto-Clean' in your account, go to
SETTINGS > DOMAIN SETTINGS > FILTERING > FOLDER AUTO CLEAN
Our suggested settings are to have Smartermail 'Auto-Clean' the following folders using the following time intervals:
1) Deleted Items Folder > Over 3 Days Old
2) Junk Mail Folder > Over 3 Days Old
3) Sent Mail Folder > Over 30 Days Old
